HAUS CUMBERLAND | Opening in 2013
Upmarket residential and office space on the Ku’damm
Haus Cumberland was designed by Robert Leibniz and built in 1911/1912. It is the last fully preserved example of a genuine “grand hotel”. It has been used as a boarding house, a luxury hotel, a ministry, a postal department and a Department of Inland Revenue, but has been largely unoccupied since 1996. The investors aim to change only what is necessary. The new design will include a restaurant, four top international brand shops, and up to ten offices. 180 apartments and 20 penthouses will be built around the courtyards.
